Romania’s Pro Life Week
Romania’s March for Life 2014 – “Adoption, the Noble Choice” was built as part of an awareness campaign which lasted for a whole week, involving a film screening, conferences and roundtables on the theme of this year’s event, which was adoption and how it can be improved in Romania.

March 21st, 2014 – Roundtable: “Adoptive Parents – Our Wishes and Problems”
March 22nd, 2014
· Romania’s March for Life 2014 – “Adoption, the Noble Choice”
· Live for Life – charity concert supporting adoption, which reunited 12 artists of various musical genres: Andrei Stratulat, Stefan Soponaru and Andrei Pascu (the vocal group Sfantul Stefan cel Mare), Bogdan Vladau, Anthony Icuagu, Vlad Stoia and Beatrice Vladan, Alexandra Usurelu, Vlad Mirita and Iordache Basalic (from Romania’s National Opera), Caitlyn and actress Ioana Picos
March 24th, 2014 – Conference: “Biology and Personhood. Theological Perspectives on Adoption”, with Fr. Dr. Gheorghe Holbea, Vice-Dean, and Fr. Nicolae Tanase, initiator and soul of the Valea Plopului community, which hosts over 400 children from underprivileged or disorganized families
March 25th, 2014 – Exhibition opening: “The Family” – drawings, paintings and sculptures by Silvia Radu
March 26th, 2014 – Conference and roundtable: “Sociological and Psychological Perspectives on Adoption”, with Associate Professor Cristi Pantelimon and Lecturer Corina Bistriceanu, both from “Spiru Haret” University in Bucharest, who brought to the audience also the anthropological view on the old practice of adoption.
